After you launch
If GBP still lists the slug after you printed the .com, you split your own brain.
Connecting a domain is a product job (existing domain articles). This is the Maps leftover: the website field, maybe the description, and the old QR that still works if the slug does. Pick a favorite and tell Google.
When the custom domain serves the site, log into GBP and put that URL in the website field. Keep NAP and hours unchanged unless they also changed. We do not have a GBP API.
What to change
Website URL. That is the main one. Do not "optimize" the name into a keyword. Do not add city stuffing.
What not to change
Address and phone unless they truly moved. Random NAP edits split listings.
How to do the cutover
Digital pointers in a bundle.
- Confirm the domain loads the right Bizzit project on a phone.
- Update GBP website field. Save. Check the public profile later. Google can be slow. Their product, their delay.
- Update Instagram, signature, ads, QR payloads.
- Leave hours and NAP alone unless they changed in real life.
Reviews
They stay on the listing, not on the domain. Do not fake a new review blast for the "new site."
We do not sell local SEO
No ranking guarantee. No doorway pages to celebrate the domain.
Two URLs
If the slug still works, GBP should still show the favorite. See two URLs on purpose.
Limits and caveats
Google's UI and verification rules change. Their help center wins. We are not Google support.
If a sentence would require a competitor SKU we have not verified, or a statistic we did not measure, it does not belong here.
What to do after you read this
If this page answered the query, open Create with the nouns from your own business, not a slogan. If it did not, you are probably in the wrong cluster: go back to the blog hub or After you launch. Do not spin a second URL for a synonym. One intent per page is the whole point of this library.
Tools that actually do this job
These are public pages. Use them when the job is this job. They are not a second product you have to buy.

Questions people actually ask
Will changing the URL reset reviews?
It should not reset a listing because of a website field edit, but Google's systems are theirs. Do not panic-edit NAP.
Should I add UTM in GBP?
Usually no. The pin is not an ad. Keep the clean URL of record.
How fast does it show?
Whenever Google shows it. We will not invent a number of days.
Bing / Apple Maps?
If you use them, update those too. We do not sync any of them.
