A tiny stylish code is a decoration. A dull large code is a door.
People shrink QR codes to look "designed." Then they fail at the counter. Ops is ugly-large and tested. Palette-from-brief is not a reason to print a yellow code on white.
Print larger than you think, dark on light, with a quiet margin, and test from the real standing distance. If it fails, grow it, do not restyle it.
Distance
Counter: arm's length. Window: sidewalk. Flyer: held in the hand. Three different minimum sizes. Measure with a phone, not a vibe.
Contrast
Black on white works. Brand sand on cream often does not. We do not have a print-proof color product.
How to test
Before you pay for vinyl.
- Generate the QR from qr-link to the live URL.
- Print a paper proof at the intended size.
- Scan with two phones, one older if you can, in the real lighting.
- If either fails, increase size or contrast. Reprint the proof.
- Only then pay for cling, cards, or flyers.
Quiet zone
Do not crop the white margin to hug a logo. Codes need a border.
Logo in the middle
If you put a logo in the QR, test twice as hard. Many will fail. A code without a logo still opens the site.
We are not a design system
No Figma. No brand kit SKU. Function first.
Limits and caveats
Error correction is not magic. A destroyed sticker will not scan. Replace it.
If a sentence would require a competitor SKU we have not verified, or a statistic we did not measure, it does not belong here.

Does Pro make codes scan better?
No. $12 does not change physics. A domain does not either, except you reprint the payload.
