Bizzit

After you launch

If you were closed Thursday, the schema should not still say open Thursday in February.

Holiday closure on the door and the URL: leftover Christmas hours are a January trap | Bizzit guide

Holidays are a scheduled lie if you forget to revert. People travel, trust Maps, and arrive at a dark door. Ops is a calendar reminder, not a festive banner Cipher forgot to take down.

Before the holiday, set door, site, and Maps to the actual closure. After the holiday, revert all three. Do not leave a banner that says closed if you are open.

Before

Write the closure in the brief. Rebuild. Hours schema for the special day if you use special hours, or a clear sentence if that is more honest than a one-off structured date you will forget.

How to run the change

Three places, two dates (start and revert).

  1. Decide the actual open/closed times, not the hopeful ones.
  2. Change the door sign.
  3. Change the Bizzit brief and hours schema. Preview.
  4. Change GBP. We do not sync it.
  5. The day after, revert all three. Put the revert on a calendar you actually look at.

Shipping and holidays

A shop can be closed at the door and still have a mail cutoff. Write both. See shop hours versus ship cutoffs.

Overnight jobs

A festive overnight post that says "open 8-8" during a closure is a bug in the brief. Freeze the brief or write the closure into it.

We do not have calendar sync

Empty cells stay empty. You are the calendar.

Fake scarcity holidays

"Closed because we sold out" should be true. A fake holiday to seem exclusive is a trust problem.

Limits and caveats

Religious and civic holiday expectations vary. This is clocks, not culture advice.

If a sentence would require a competitor SKU we have not verified, or a statistic we did not measure, it does not belong here.

What to do after you read this

If this page answered the query, open Create with the nouns from your own business, not a slogan. If it did not, you are probably in the wrong cluster: go back to the blog hub or After you launch. Do not spin a second URL for a synonym. One intent per page is the whole point of this library.

Tools that actually do this job

These are public pages. Use them when the job is this job. They are not a second product you have to buy.

Questions people actually ask

Banner only, hours unchanged?

Then Maps still sends cars. Change the hours fields.

Closed all week?

Say the reopen date. "Closed for the holidays" with no date is how people assume you died.

Pro include a holiday mode?

No. $12 is not a calendar product.

Staff see a different schedule?

Internal schedule is not the public clock. Public clock is door + site + Maps.
